The fact that she could pull this off - make sense, be her usual ruthless, clever self - while he was going down on her did very little to discourage Jackson, or make him doubt his skills. On the contrary, it was one more reason to admire her, and the more she talked, the more he brought it on, picking up the pace just as mercilessly as she was judging the lot of them. Whether he agreed with her or not mattered very little; the strength of her character and the sharpness of her mind existed regardless of his own opinions on any given subject. Only through that respect could they ever be together this way, and it was no concession, but simple fact.
